Wolves link up with Ace Academy

Wolves Academy have joined forces with Ace Academy, forming a fresh partnership ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The partnership is the third of its kind for Wolves, after successfully working with Arden Forest and New Park Village in recent years.

Ace Academy are located in the Walsall area and have been a successful grassroots club for many years, creating pathways for both players and coaches in the game.

The West Midlands is a hotbed of football talent and the partnership will offer more opportunities to players, while Ace Academy staff will benefit from learning off Wolves Academy coaches.

Jack Maydew, academy recruitment officer, said: “We are delighted to partner with Ace Academy, I feel we can create some great pathways for many staff and players within the football club.

“Wayne Thomas has been brilliant through the process and great to have Ace and Wayne on board with Wolves.”

Wayne Thomas, chairman of Ace Academy, added: “We are very proud to partner with such a prestigious club and academy in Wolves.

“Wolves have a clear pedigree in developing young players and creating opportunities in a flourishing environment and that fits perfectly with the ethos of Ace. We look forward to building a successful partnership for years to come.”
