After recently inducting nine new first-year scholars into the professional phase of the Academy, Steve Davis’ side will get their new campaign underway by travelling to the north east for a 1pm kick-off on Saturday 14th August.
Wolves return to the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground the following Saturday for their first home match of the season as the under-18s take on Newcastle United, before finishing off August with a visit to Blackburn Rovers on the 28th.
Davis’ young team begin September by hosting 2020/21 U18 Premier League North champions Manchester City – who then went on to beat Fulham to claim the national title – to Compton Park.
New into the northern division this season is Nottingham Forest, who – alongside Birmingham City, who have been moved into the southern division – have joined from the Professional Development League having gained ‘Category One’ academy status.
The first clash against Forest comes at home on Saturday 4th December, before the under-18s head to the East Midlands on 22nd January.
The team are scheduled to finish their season in May, with the final home of the campaign against Stoke City set for the morning of Saturday 7th.
