Nathan Shi provided the following message after Wolves Women’s historic promotion to the WSL 2 earlier today.
“This is a historic moment for Wolves Women and everyone connected to the club. To secure promotion in such a high-pressure game is a huge achievement, and I’m proud of the players, Dan and all of the staff for what they have delivered this season.
“The commitment, resilience and togetherness shown by this group has been outstanding. They deserve enormous credit for the standards they have set over the many consecutive seasons that they have been punching above their weight in this league, battling to the end against professional sides on a number of occasions.
“Today is a moment to celebrate, and an important step in the journey of Wolves Women. With our move to a professional model next season, we hope to build on this success and give the team the platform to compete and thrive at a higher level.”
