Wolves Women forward Skye Owen will undergo surgery and begin a sustained period of rehabilitation after suffering an injury to her anterior cruciate ligament.
The youngster’s recovery process will take place under the care and guidance of the club’s medical team.
Owen has made four first-team appearances for the Old Gold since her debut in September 2022 and enjoyed a successful loan spell with Sporting Khalsa during the first half of last season before being recalled.
Head of high performance Phil Hayward said: “Obviously this is a really unfortunate injury for Skye after such a promising season.
“We will of course give her optimal support during her rehabilitation and ensure she returns to full fitness as quickly as possible to continue her progression with the club.”
