Wolves need just one point from their final four fixtures to secure top spot in FAWNL Northern Premier Division, which could arrive next weekend, and the visit of Brighouse Town to Molineux the following Wednesday will now the showpiece event of the run-in.

The West Yorkshire side travel to the West Midlands on Wednesday 13th April for a 7.45pm kick-off at Molineux, providing the penultimate home fixture of another incredibly successful campaign, which looks set to conclude with a promotion play-off to the FA Women’s Championship.

To conclude last season, McNamara’s side took to the Molineux pitch to beat Lincoln City in a friendly in front of limited crowd due to Covid restrictions, but now fans are invited to show their full support.

The fixture also represents the first competitive Wolves Women game at Molineux since April 2002 campaign, when Birmingham City visited.

On the announcement, head coach McNamara said: “Football is about making memories and in the next few weeks these girls will go on to make some really big ones and I’m proud of every single one of them.

“The football club have been fantastic with us this year. What they’re providing these girls has given them a platform to succeed like they do week in week out.

“Playing at Molineux is another show of where the football club has come. They’re going to get their moment at Molineux under the lights and you couldn’t ask for more. Hopefully we can drum up a lot of support in the short space of time that we’ve got.”
