Midfielder Bramford has previously played for the U17 Lionesses and is now set to involved in an U18 squad training camp at the Football Association’s St George’s Park, near Burton-on-Trent, at the end of August.
The 17-year-old schoolgirl, signed from Women’s Super League club Birmingham City, is still studying for ‘A’ Levels at Thomas Telford School.
But ahead of her Wolves debut in Sunday’s National League Division 1 Midlands clash with Lincoln City, she said: “I base my life around football and my ambition is to play professionally and hopefully one day get into the England senior team.
“Being at Blues has been really good for me, they’ve brought my game on and definitely improved me as a player.
“But I wanted to get the chance to play senior football, and I’ll get that at Wolves in a competitive league that will stretch me and continue my development.”
Wolves manager Dan McNamara, who described Bramford’s signing as “a coup” after her transfer last month, said: “I’m absolutely delighted for Sophie.
“She’s a great girl with a great attitude and huge potential. She’s had really good feedback from the England set-up and I was confident she’d get this call-up.”
