Wolves’ rearranged FA Cup clash set for this Sunday

Wolves could possibly head to either Stoke City or Norwich City in the third round of the 2021/22 Vitality Women’s FA Cup but they would have to overcome Nottingham Forest this weekend.

On Sunday, Wolves’ second round clash with Forest was scheduled to take place at the CKW Stadium, but due to the impact of Storm Arwen, the game had to be postponed because of a frozen pitch.

The third round of the FA Cup is due to take place on Sunday 12th December, and Monday’s draw saw Dan McNamara’s side and Forest paired up with the winner of fellow FAWNL Norther Premier Division outfit Stoke and fourth tier Norwich City, who also had their second round match postponed following the inclement weather.

This means the rearranged second round match against the East Midlands side will now be played this Sunday 5th December at the CKW Stadium, from 2pm.

With the FA Cup being moved to this weekend, Wolves’ FAWNL Cup fixture with Liverpool Feds, which was previously scheduled for Sunday, will now be played at a later date, which will be announced in due course.
