Under-23 preview | West Brom vs Wolves

It’s derby day for Wolves under-23s who take on West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League 2 under the Telford lights on Monday evening.

James Collins’ side are unbeaten in the league in 2022 and come into the derby having booked their place in the next round of the Premier League Cup at the expense of Wigan Athletic last time out.

The Premier League 2 Division 2 campaign has shaped into a thrilling race, with just five points separating second placed Norwich City with ninth placed Nottingham Forest.

Between the two clubs are Black Country duo Wolves and West Brom, who have just three points separating them, but five places – Albion in third and Wolves in eighth – adding to the plot of a derby day.

No side in the division has played fewer games than Wolves, with James Collins’ side holding three games in hand on three sides above them and four on league leaders Fulham, so promotion hopes still remain very much alive.

Chem Campbell bagged a winner in Wolves’ last PL 2 outing against Reading, when Yerson Mosquera, Toti Gomes, Luke Cundle and Chiquinho all started.
