Wolves under-23s return to action live on WolvesTV

Wolves under-23s are back in Premier League 2 action for the first time in six months on Saturday afternoon as they get their 2020/21 season underway in front of the WolvesTV cameras, with live worldwide coverage available on wolves.co.uk and the Wolves App.

The development side have not played a competitive match since 2nd March due to the Academy Games Programme being cancelled following the outbreak of Covid-19.

With the game to be played behind closed doors, supporters can still catch all the action live from Kidderminster on Wolves TV.

WHAT THE BOSS THINKS

On getting back to competitive football

“The feeling around the squad is that they’re all really excited about getting the season started,” Collins said. “It’s felt like a long time since we played competitive football.

“What’s been interesting this week is that our preparations have been a bit mixed in the fact we’ve had a lot of our players up with the first-team.

“Obviously that has made it difficult for us to prepare for the game, but it’s great for the players to be getting this experience.

“Although the preparation has been difficult, we’re all excited for the game and know that everyone is up for the challenge.”

On a new threat in Burnley

“They’re obviously new to the league, but I came up against them many times before in my previous role at Crewe.

“They are exactly what you’d expect from a Burnley side; hard working, they play a similar system to their first-team and will always give you problems, because they know exactly what they’re doing.

“It will be a real test for us. They’re never easy games against Burnley because hard work, effort and determination is what they’re about.”
