Dates for Wolves’ four 2026/27 National League Cup group stage fixtures have now been confirmed.
Wolves under-21s have been placed in Group A alongside Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Stoke City, and will take on FC Halifax Town, Gateshead, Scunthorpe United and Wealdstone.
The under-21s are back in the competition for the third year, giving young players from Premier League 2 additional opportunities to test themselves against senior opposition, with the aim of further aiding elite player development.
The 2026/27 edition will once again include 16 under-21 teams facing 16 first teams from clubs participating in the National League. Each of the 32 teams are split into four groups of eight, with four PL2 sides and four National League clubs in each group.
The under-21 sides will only face National League opposition, and the National League clubs will only play the PL2 teams in their group, with the two best-placed teams in each group advancing to a knock-out stage to determine the winner.
Wolves will begin their campaign away to Wealdstone on 18th August before taking on Halifax at the Shay Stadium on 8th September.
The group stage continues away at Gateshead on 13th October, before rounding out at the Attis Arena against Scunthorpe United on 3rd November. All games are scheduled as 7pm kick-offs.
