Under-23s set for double-header at Molineux

Wolves under-23s are into the business end of their season with just three games remaining in their hunt for a play-off place and supporters can watch all the home action live from Molineux.

James Collins’ side will take on Newcastle United at Molineux this Easter Monday evening (18th April) before returning to the stadium a week later (Monday 25th April) to face Stoke City, with both matches 7pm kick-offs.

Season ticket holders and members can get free entry into the stadium for both matches but must claim their ticket in advance. For non-season ticket holders, tickets cost £4 for adults, £2 for over-65s and under-21s, while under-17s can gain free entry.

Currently sitting second in the Premier League 2 Division 2 table, the under-23s have games in hand over the teams below them and know a win over the Magpies will put them just a point away from mathematically securing a play-off spot.

This means the Molineux games are going to be crucial in the development team’s push for promotion into the top tier of youth football.

Speaking about playing successive games at Molineux, Collins said: “It’s a great way for us to end the season. We had Peterborough at their ground last time, then we’ll have two games at Molineux on successive Monday evenings and then we’ve got Norwich away on the last day of the season at Carrow Road.

“These are all proper grounds and proper stadiums to play on and will all be good challenges for our boys to get used to playing on what they hope will be common for them in the future in their careers.

“Then, if we get to semi-finals and finals as well, hopefully they’ll be at stadiums as well, so we’ve got some real high-profile games for our level coming up and that’s when you find out about your players and they’ll learn about what it’s all about.”

Tickets for both under-23 matches at Molineux must be bought in advance, while season ticket holders, members and under-17s must claim their free tickets by clicking here.

Parking will also be available for spectators on a first come/first served basis in the Stan Cullis and Waterloo Road car parks.
