New contract for Ryan Giles

Wolves Academy Player of the Year Ryan Giles has signed a new four-year contract at Molineux.

The 18-year old, who has been with Wolves for more than ten years, has put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Although yet to make a senior start, the winger was part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s first team squad for the pre-season trip to Switzerland, as well as being named on the bench for Wolves’ Carabao Cup ties with Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester City.

Impressing during his progression through the club’s ranks, Giles’ form with the under-18s, as well as his time on loan at AFC Telford – where he scored two goals and made seven assists in nine matches to help the relegation troubled side to safety – saw the teenager win Wolves Academy Player of the Year prize at the End of Season Awards.

Giles has made 11 appearances for Rob Edwards’ under-23 side this campaign, scoring in a 4-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion.
