Wolves’ Joao Gomes has linked up with the Brazil senior side for the first time, as they prepare for friendlies with England and Spain.

The midfielder has been rewarded for his form in an old gold shirt with a call up to Dorival Junior’s squad, who are currently based at Arsenal’s training ground.

While Matheus Cunha has missed out on the camp through injury, Gomes could make his debut against England at Wembley on Saturday evening.

He’ll have another chance to impress the following Tuesday, when Brazil face Pablo Sarabia’s Spain at the Santiago Bernabeu.

For Gomes’ first international camp, wolves.co.uk were allowed behind the scenes in the capital, as he settled into his surroundings with Brazil.
