The draw was made on Wednesday evening following the second round tie between Tranmere Rovers and Newcastle United and paired Bruno Lage’s men against the side from Yorkshire - having met on the opening day of the Premier League season.
Wolves made it into the third round of the cup following last night’s 2-1 victory over Championship outfit Preston North End at Molineux, while Leeds reached this stage of the competition by overcoming Barnsley on Wednesday evening.
The sides will now go head-to-head at Molineux during the week commencing 7th November – just over a week before club football takes a break for the 2022 World Cup – as they battle for a place in the fourth round.
Lage will be hoping his Wolves side can go at least one better than they did during last season’s Carabao Cup when they fell out of the competition at the third round stage as they were defeated by Tottenham Hotspur on penalties.
Date and ticket information for the Leeds tie will be confirmed in due course.
