First Molineux match of 2021/22 rearranged

Wolves’ opening home match of the 2021/22 Premier League season against Tottenham Hotspur will now take place a day later than originally planned.

Due to Spurs’ participation in the Europa Conference League play-off the proceeding Thursday, Molineux’s first match of the campaign – and the first time new Wolves boss Bruno Lage will experience a home atmosphere – will now take place on Sunday 22nd August, kick-off 2pm.

Despite the move to Sunday, the game will not be broadcast live on TV in the UK, neither will Wolves’ opening match of the season away at Leicester City.

Wolves’ first televised match of the season will follow on Sunday 29th, as Lage’s side host Manchester United at Molineux at 4.30pm, with the game live on Sky Sports.

Wolves' confirmed fixture list for August is as follows:

  • Leicester City vs Wolves | Saturday 14th August, 3pm
  • Wolves vs Tottenham Hotspur | Sunday 22nd August, 2pm
  • Wolves vs Manchester United | Sunday 29th August, 4.30pm | Sky Sports
