The Spaniard returned to the starting line-up against Southampton on Monday evening, and played his part as Wolves fought back from a goal down to earn a point. As the contest wore on, Traore began to revel in his battle with Ryan Bertrand down the right, providing a constant threat, and will now study his performance and look for areas to improve further.

“I think it’s been a tough game. The team worked hard for the 90 minutes. I felt personally we could have gone with a win, but we have to keep working, to keep pushing.

On the change to system
“We had to work with what we had. The manager planned the game like this, the tactics were like this to play Southampton.
“After that, whatever the manager said, be ready and fight until the end, like we did today.”
On playing the full 90
“It felt good. Always, I can be better, this is my mentality. I feel like we could have got a victory, but we fought until the end, so we keep improving.”
On Bertrand’s challenge
“It’s not only the battle against him, it’s the whole team, whoever the players in front of me are. For me, it’s not problem. I do the best for my team and this is what I do.”
