Four nominations for Premier League awards

Nuno Espirito Santo, Conor Coady, Pedro Neto and Raul Jimenez have all been nominated for June Premier League awards, after Wolves won their opening three matches following the restart.

Neto is in contention for the Premier League Goal of the Month award after his unbelievable strike at West Ham United.

The youngster is up for the June honour after he hammered home Matt Doherty’s cross on the volley to seal a 2-0 win at the London Stadium.

The goal was Neto’s fifth of the season, and his most impressive yet, and has earnt him a nomination for the Premier League award.

He’s up against the likes of Ben Chilwell, Nicholas Pepe and Kevin De Bruyne, with eight goals nominated in total.

Nuno is up for the June Manager of the Month award following Wolves’ impressive form since the restart.

The Portuguese head coach has guided his team to the perfect start with three wins from three – the only Premier League side with a perfect record.

In that time, Wolves have beaten West Ham United, AFC Bournemouth and Aston Villa without conceding a goal and moved to within two points of fourth spot.

Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has also been nominated, alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of Manchester United and Chelsea leader Frank Lampard.

Coady and Jimenez | Player of the Month | VOTE NOW

Coady and Jimenez have been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for June.

The double nomination comes after Wolves returned to Premier League with the perfect start, claiming nine points from nine available during June.

Coady led by example at the back, as Wolves kept three clean sheets against West Ham United, AFC Bournemouth and Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Jimenez was equally as effective up front, setting Wolves on their way to victories with the opening goals against the Hammers and the Cherries.

The pair are up against Bruno Fernandes and Anthony Martial of Manchester United, Southampton’s Danny Ings and Newcastle United wide man Allan Saint-Maximin.
