Wolves to face Crusaders in Europa League

Wolves’ first major European fixture for almost 40 years will be against Northern Irish outfit Crusaders at Molineux next Thursday evening.

The draw for the Europa League second qualifying round paired Wolves with the winner of the first round tie between Crusaders and B36 Tórshavn from the Faroe Islands.

A two-legged fixture has now been held between the two sides, with Crusaders coming out on top 2-0 in the first leg in Belfast, before winning 3-2 in the second leg in the Faroes, giving the Irish side a 5-2 aggregate victory, and the reward of a visit to Wolverhampton next week.

The first leg of the second qualifying round match will take place from 7.45pm on Thursday 25th July at Molineux before Nuno Espirito Santo’s men face an away trip to Belfast on Thursday 1st August for the second leg.

Wolves and Crusaders will also discover who their possible opponents could be in the next round when the draw for the Europa League third qualifying round is made on Monday 22nd July at 1pm.

Please remember, the dates and times of all Europa League fixtures are still subject to change.

Any fixture changes will be announced on wolves.co.uk and across the club’s social media channels as soon as they are confirmed. With this in mind, supporters are urged to avoid making any travel or accommodation arrangements until that time.
