The winger made his first league start for the club at Brighton last weekend in place of Diogo Jota – as head coach Nuno Espirito Santo named a different starting line-up for the first time since the start of the season.
But Traore’s delight at being part of the first 11 was short lived due to his side finishing on the end of a narrow 1-0 defeat to The Seagulls.
The 22-year-old said: “I was very happy to start, but I wasn’t happy at the end because we lost. I was not happy because we didn’t win, so whatever the performance I gave, we didn’t win so it’s not the best performance. I think I can do better, I think I can do miles better than the last game.
“I’m still working, I’m still improving and I’m still hungry. Most of the time I get obsessed because I want to give more, but everything takes time. I understand Nuno, and finally I have my opportunity to show what I can do, and I hope I have more opportunities, but I will still work whatever happens.
“I need to keep learning, keep working and keep improving, learn from the errors we made and keep going for the next game.”
Wolves failed to convert from their seven shots on target against Brighton and the team will be hoping their work on the training pitch will help them find the back of the net as they host Spurs in tonight’s 7.45pm kick-off.
“This week we’ve been working on the final end of the pitch,” Traore added. “We know we can create chances, we know we can keep clean sheets, now the important thing is that we need to finish.
“We need to have more quality to score. I think it’s a good thing that we have created chances, but now we need to put it in. We need to be more ruthless, that was what the manager has said. We create chances, we’ve been good in defence, so now we need to finish.
“Our mentality is taking it game by game. We know Tottenham is a very big team and we know the quality of their players, but we are focused on our game and will play 100 per cent to the instructions of the manager.
“We’ve been working so hard with Nuno throughout the week and the team will have the right mentality to fight for a win.”
