The 18-year-old Wolves Academy graduate was named as a substitute in Saturday's 1-1 Premier League draw, but came off the bench for the final five minutes of the match.
“Words can't describe what it felt like to step out on an amazing pitch at Old Trafford,” he said. “It was a dream come true.
“I remember when I was a kid I said to my dad 'I want to play at Old Trafford one day', and for that to actually come true doesn't seem real.
“I was nervous from when I stepped foot into the building, but when you get onto the pitch you don't really notice the nerves. You just focus on the game and the task ahead.
“It sort of hit me just before I was about to come on, but you have to stay calm and composed and that's what I did.”
Despite returning to Molineux with a point, Gibbs-White felt Wolves should have got all three. “It was exceptional from the boys. They put in a good shift, but I felt we deserved more from the game.
“We definitely matched them in every area, defended well and when we went forward we looked like we were going to score most of the time.
“It was a good point to take away, but we have to look at the negatives and think 'could we score more, could we come away with more points'.
“It was good for me to come on in the final five minutes and try to prove myself. For the manager to bring me on when it was 1-1 shows he trusts me and has faith in me. It shows he wants me to do well, and I can only try my best for myself and the team.
“He just wants me to keep playing how I'm playing. Then hopefully during the next few months I can progress and keep getting game time in the cups.”
Gibbs-White will hope to be in the starting line-up for Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie against Leicester City after being on the pitch from the start of Wolves' 2-0 victory at Sheffield Wednesday in the previous round.
He added: “I'm really looking forwards to it. Hopefully I can get some minutes in that game to prove I'm ready and raring to go.
“There's a lot of high expectations on us this season, but we will knuckle down and try to focus on the next game.
“No matter what team the manager plays we're all going to try our best and put 110 percent in every time.
“We showed against Sheffield Wednesday that even though we weren't our strongest team, we can all still play together and win games.”
