We Have To Bounce Back

Romain Saiss says Wolves must find the same mentality and football that got them to the top of the Championship if they’re to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat against Fulham.

Saiss made his first start since mid-January in the loss at Craven Cottage but he’s been telling Wolves TV that the whole squad are focused on putting things right against Reading this weekend.

“The next week we have three big games, it’s an important week for us, we have to bounce back”, said the Moroccan midfielder.

“Our last win was three games ago so we have to show another mentality, another football like we did in the first half of the season. I’m confident in the team, we’ve worked well this week and I hope we can win Saturday.”

“I think every team have a period where its more hard; our period is now so the most important thing is to bounce back and to win quickly, to close this hard period to be ready for the last run.

“It’s important because we work very well from the beginning of the season and the most important part of the season is now, the last 12 games.

“We have to stay strong and stay focused on our objective, keep the mentality of winning every game - we can change this hard moment into a good moment.”

At 27 years of age Saiss, is one of the more senior players in the squad and he’s hoping the experience of his career, and his time in English football so far, will be a help to his young team mates.

He said: “Last season we fought against relegation, this season we fight for promotion, it’s the same mentality we have to fight for one objective.

“We work very well from the beginning and we deserve to be in first place but we have to show it again and again till the end of the season.

“It’s important for the players with more experience to bring the team with us, to stay focused.

“I know sometimes it’s very hard for the young players, especially with the weather, but we have to stay together like a family.

“We have to continue in the same way even if it’s hard sometimes, we have to improve every time if we are to go to the Premier League.”
