As with last week's victory over Sheffield United, Wolves found themselves 2-0 up inside half an hour against QPR at Molineux, however the visitors rallied in the second half and came close to forcing an equaliser after Conor Washington's strike had brought them back into the game.
Afterwards, Nuno acknowledged that Wolves needed to draw upon different qualities in each half.
"The first half was good - good football, a lot of chances, and beautiful goals," he said. "We deserved that half-time score because we created plenty of chances and it was good work by the boys.
"The second half was different. They went more direct in the second half, playing long balls up to their big guys. Their goal came early and it took us a while to settle down, but afterwards we controlled the game.
"They're a tough team to defend, but we defended well and we had to be more compact. We worked well - good work, a good result and fantastic support."
Nuno reinforced the importance of the work ethic of his squad in increasing their winning run to three games in a row.
"The philosophy and the identity that we have is one of work ethic. The players work every day - this is what's most important; teamwork and hard work, because success comes based on that and only that.
"QPR beat us in the previous game, so we knew they were a tough team. They're well organised, they have good players and they have a way of playing football that requires good organisation to combat.
"Today was a very difficult game and we won it. The support of our fans was great throughout the game, so we thanks them for that."
