We Will Find A Solution

Nuno Espírito Santo said Wolves will find solutions to overcome stubborn opposition like Sunderland after today’s goalless draw at Molineux.

Chris Coleman’s team proved too tough for Wolves to crack on a difficult afternoon, even after they were reduced to ten men following Lee Cattermole’s two quickfire bookings after the hour mark.

And whilst Wolves’ Head Coach was disappointed as Wolves’ run of six successive wins came to an end, he acknowledged that not every game will go to plan.

“That was not the result that we wanted or worked for,” said Nuno.

“Frustrated? No, it is a part of football.

“We are disappointed but it was a tough game.

“There was only one team looking for the victory in the game.

“I think we did almost everything and we tried every way.

“The boys worked hard and Sunderland clearly came here to not get beat.

“Victories are hard to make and all the games are different.

“In the first half we took control and had good chances and the better moments.

“In the second half, after the red card, Sunderland were taking away the space we had to play and our combinations came but not the final touch to put it in the goal.”

Nuno is confident that Wolves will continue to find the solutions to break teams down in the same way as in previous hme games when scoring nine goals against Leeds and Bolton.

“Not every game is a win – we will have games like this and we have to find solutions…and we will do so,” he said.

“We scored five goals and four goals in the last two games but not every game can be like that.

“And I cannot say anything bad about the work of the players.

“The players, the supporters…until the last minute we were trying to go for the victory.

“Our fans have to know victories are hard to build and we need them to keep pushing and supporting us and then the results will come.

“It takes hard work and we will work harder this week.

“We know we have solutions inside the squad to put it together and win the game.”
