The midfielderās current contract was due to be up at the end of the current season - heās now under contract until the end of the following season with an option of a further year.
Ā
Price says he is has ambitions to force his way into Nuno Espirito Santoās starting elevenĀ but he is happy to have the security of a new deal.Ā
Ā
He began, āObviously it plays on your mind when your contractās up in the summer and obviously I wanted to stay here and play my football this club.Ā
Ā
āIāve been here since I was seven, the club means a lot to me.Ā
Ā
āItās my second home really, Iāve been here that long.Ā
Ā
āMe and my family, we love the club now - I really love this club, I didnāt want it to end and Iām so glad that Iāve got another couple of years here.
Ā
āIāve been here for so long now and it feels like my second home really, hopefully I can kick on and play a few more minutes - but that security, itās really important for me.
Ā
āWhen you arenāt starting every week, you could say is it my time to go? Obviously Iāve done things right in pre-season and Iāve given the manager enough to think about to keep me in the squad.
Ā
āIāve always wanted to stay here, Iāve been here that long that itās important for me to still be around this place.Ā
Ā
āYou can see the club going places and I donāt want to leave.Ā
Ā
āItās strange when you look around the changing room and you see the posters with your name on it saying ā100 clubā.Ā
Ā
āThere are some other players on there who are a bit older than me - itās strange because Iām still young in football terms but around this club Iām part of the furniture, Iāve been here that long now.
Ā
āItās important for me and I feel like my roleās changing a little bit - Iām not just a young kid any more looking for help, I need to be helping the younger lads that have come in and I feel like I can do that.ā
Ā
Despite only making two substitute appearances in the Sky Bet Championship this season, Price has started in all three of Wolvesā Carabao cup ties, games in which Wolves are yet to concede.Ā
Ā
Price admits that there is lots of competition for places in central midfield, but he hopes that when he gets a chance, he will take it.
Ā
āThe one thing is that everybody wants to be playing, you donāt want to be here just to be a part of it, you want to be involved - hopefully when I get a chance, Iāll take it,ā he said.
Ā
āYou look at the players in my position, and realise that Iāve got to be patient - Iāve got to take my chance when I get it and hopefully it will come.Ā
Ā
āIāve just got to keep doing what Iām doing on and off the pitch and hopefully that chance will come.Ā
Ā
āWe had some great players - my break through season was in league one and we had some brilliant players then.Ā
Ā
āI feel as though this squad has got that quality, and that edge - theyāre brilliant signings, the ones weāve brought in over the last two years really.Ā
Ā
āI feel like the lads are confident - you can tell when weāre going into every game, we feel like weāre going to get the result, and thatās key as well.ā
