Wolves took a three goal lead in the game through Ivan Cavaleiro and a brace from Leo Bonatini.
The visitors fought back however, and through Jordan Hugill and an own goal from Conor Coady set up the game for a tense finish.
Wolves held on to secure the three points, a win which keeps them top of the Sky Bet Championship.
Nuno said, “I think it was deserved and it’s good result. At 3-0, everyone at Molineux thought that the game was over but this is football and until the last minute, you cannot relax or concede so many opportunities.
“First half - very aggressive, there was too much holding and too many fouls. The referee, I think, should hold then game and control the situation but it was a fantastic second half, with four goals and this is football.
“Thank you for the support of the fans.”
Despite being happy with the result, the Wolves Head Coach says that his team must learn about how to see games out without any nerves.
He praised his players, but says that managing emotions will play a huge part in being successful this season.
“We have to take a look and know how to control the situations better and take the three points without being so nervous where any ball can go in.
“Well done to the boys, always fighting and wanting to achieve more and this is the way that we have to achieve in each game.
“We need to know how to manage our emotions knowing that the other team has a plan, and the plan is about controlling our game and stopping us from playing - we have to find solutions to that.
“In the last game here, in the derby, we saw a different situation where we played better.
“We must assume that today was not our best performance even though the three points is very valuable for us.
“When we have three goals at home, we cannot concede two - we have to manage the game better.”
Wolves now turn their attentions to Tuesday evening where Nuno takes his side to Manchester City in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Nuno says it is a big occasion for his team, one that he hopes that Wolves can enjoy.
“Tuesday is a different challenge and a different competition and a big game for us going to a big team and playing there - we have to enjoy it.”
