Jeremy Helan has been recalled by, parent club, Sheffield Wednesday and will return to Hillsborough immediately.
Owls' Joe Bennett (on loan from Aston Villa) has suffered a knee ligament injury and will be out for a couple of weeks.
This caused Wednesday to exercise the 24-hour recall clause in the loan agreement and the 23-year-old has returned to South Yorkshire.
Discussing Helan, Head Coach Kenny Jackett said: "Jeremy has been recalled because of an injury and returns to Sheffield.
"We thank him for what he's done, he's given us balance down the left-hand side.
"He's been a very good professional and we certainly wish him the best of luck for the rest of the season."
