The game will be Paul Lambert's first in charge of Wolves after taking over as Head Coach last week.
And the midfielder explained that Lambert has had a positive influence on the training ground.
Coady said: “It’s come at a good time for us with the gaffer coming in. He’s had a couple of weeks to work with the boys.
“It’s been a fantastic couple of weeks of training; really intense, really tough, something the boys have really needed.
“It’s the modern-day game. Managers change all the time and we’ve got to be ready and alert for when that happens. We’re professional footballers so we’ve got to be prepared.
“This gaffer coming in has really been a breath of fresh air. He’s really been on it with the lads, telling us what he wants and how he wants us to play.
“We’ve reacted over the last couple of weeks and we need to take that into Saturday now."
Wolves currently sit in 19th place in the Sky Bet Championship league and are without a win in seven consecutive games.
Reflecting on recent form, Coady explained: “It’s tough as players. We’re disappointed every time results don’t go our way and we don’t play well. We take it to heart more than anyone.
“You can ask my missus if you want, it becomes the worst weekend in the world. I’m not a nice person after we lose.
“That’s the same for every one of the boys. We want to do well for this football club.
“All the boys love being here, love playing for the club and know how much it means to people involved.
“It’s been a disappointing time for us but the gaffer’s come in now and we’re really looking to fire into games, be strong, be on the front foot and entertain the fans.
“We need to be more intense in our play, we need to be sharper, we need to win our individual battles more, we need to run more than the other team and that’s what we’ve been working on for the last couple of weeks.
“For us we need to forget about what has been and we need to move on quickly because we need to put points on the board for this football club."
Preston have enjoyed a strong start to their campaign and are just three points of the play-off positions.
The Wolves midfielder is expecting a tough test from Simon Grayson's side.
“A tough, very physical game with a lot of balls coming into our box and that’s something we’ve got to deal with," he said.
“For us, it’s about taking these last two weeks into Saturday’s game, being intense, winning our individual battles and hopefully coming out on top.
“I think all teams get better year on year, it’s a very tough league.
“Going to Preston’s a tough game but it’s one that we’re ready for and really looking forward to.
“It’s going to be a massive game for us in general. We’ve all got to come together, everyone involved with the club."
