The 19-year-old forward has made his full Owls league debut last week, scoring in a 3-0 win over Sunderland, and now wants to continue to impress while on loan, in a bid to impress Wolves in the long term.
On his loan spell so far
“I had a few setbacks in the beginning, I came from the World Cup with Canada, so it was difficult in the beginning because I had a sickness that set me back about two weeks.
“It took me a while to get going from there because I didn't get off to a good start. I started training and training hard, but it was difficult for me to get into the team as well. Hopefully, now after my last performance, I'll be able to keep going.”
On how important the loan is for his development
“It’s massive because when you come on loan, you obviously want to play, you want to play as many games as possible, and I believe the team is under a lot of pressure right now.
“It's a team that's expected to get promoted. Sheffield Wednesday is a big club with a long history, so the stakes are high. I believe this loan will prepare me for a return to Wolves.”
On his first-team experience with Wolves
“It was incredible, but I felt like it was coming soon. I was on the bench a lot and wasn't really coming in, so it was getting a little frustrating for me, but I was also happy and embracing the fact that I was making Premier League benches.
“It was a huge relief when I made my debut against Tottenham because it was getting close to the end of the season and I really wanted to get some minutes, so I was very happy.”

On being the youngest Canadian to play in the Premier League
“It's incredible because I know other Canadian players who I've worked with at a professional level, either as teammates in the national team or as coaches. They all told me that you're destined to make it before we are, that you have the talent and everything. When it actually happened, I was really happy.
“After all, my dream as a kid was to make my professional debut at the age of 18 because I idolised Ronaldo and he did that when he was 18. So, I was very happy when I made it the day before my 19th birthday.”
On what to expect from him this season
“It's like the best feeling in the world when I score, and it's done wonders for my confidence. So, I'd like to keep that going.
“I’d like to continue to put in performances like the one against Sunderland. I'm happy, but I'm going to keep working hard to get more minutes and hopefully become a regular starter for this team.”
On his hopes for a Wolves return
“That is the goal, and I have high hopes for it. At the end of the day, I'm a Wolves player, and I've come on loan to shine and show what I'm capable of. However, I'm also here to build and learn. I'd like to return to Wolves as a better player.
“I believe that this league can do that for me right now because it is very physically demanding. And, as I previously stated, there's the pressure. So, with all of this, I believe it is ideal preparation for the Premier League.”

On what he’s working on in training
“I'm focusing a lot on one-touch finishing and other types of finishing, I'm making an extra effort after every single training to do so.
“I'm always working on taking on players, whether it's just pulling a defender after practice and asking him if he wants to do something, which I do a lot of, as well as some out-of-position work.
“So, defensively, I'm watching videos with the coaching staff here and also focusing on it and training to put in a better defensive effort.”
On adapting to English football
“When I first moved to England, it took me a few months to adjust to the football here. I had previous experience at a high level with Toronto FC because they were a good team facing good opponents, but the intensity and physicality were a big factor for me here. It was more technically oriented at Toronto FC. I've adjusted well here, though, and I'm excited to continue playing here.”

- 90 minutes and a goal for Morgan Gibbs-White as he impressed again in Sheffield United’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest. That’s now his fourth goal in 11 appearances for the blades.
- Connor Ronan played the full 90 minutes for St. Mirren in their draw against St. Johnstone.
- Matija Sarkic registered another clean sheet for Birmingham in their encounter with Bristol City.
- Nigel Lonwijk made his full debut for Fortuna Sittard against his former side PSV, but his current side were beaten 4-1.
