Watt’s impressive start gets better
Elliot Watt has had an exceptional week for League Two outfit Carlisle United. Firstly, the youngster managed a full 90 minutes amid a comprehensive 4-1 win over Forest Green Rovers.
That was before he recorded his first goal for the club in just his fifth start with a well-hit effort from range to catch out the Mansfield Town shot stopper. In turn, the effort inspired Watt and his team to a dramatic comeback as the loanee turned provider with stoppage-time free-kick to rescue a point for the Blues.
The side’s form has improved drastically since his arrival; Carlisle are now unbeaten in their last four, with Watt managing a full 90 minutes in three of them.
Two in two for Niall Ennis
The centre forward has doubled his goal tally in his last two games for Doncaster Rovers in League One. His first of the week opened the scoring in a 3-1 win over Southend United. The attacker took one touch to spin his marker, and another to fire into the net from outside the area.
Ennis scored for the second consecutive game with a close-range finish in a 2-1 defeat to Fleetwood Town. He now has four goals and three assists in 22 matches for Rovers.
On the move
Ryan Giles (Coventry City), Dion Sanderson (Cardiff City) and Benny Ashley-Seal (Accrington Stanley) all completed their temporary moves away from Wolves too late into the transfer window to be able to feature for their new teams at the weekend.
Also in action
Cameron John (Doncaster Rovers), Sadou Diallo (Accrington Stanley), Connor Ronan (Blackpool), Callum Thompson (Bohemians) and Austin Samuels (Kidderminster Harriers) were also in action last week for their respective loan clubs.
