Duo head out on loan

Wolves defenders Sylvain Deslandes and Connor Johnson have joined Lokomotive Plovdiv and Kilmarnock on loan.

Deslandes, who has had loan spells with Bury, Portsmouth and Jumilla since signing for Wolves from Caen in July 2015, has moved to Bulgarian First League side Plovdiv on loan with an option for a permanent transfer.

The 22-year-old has made eight appearances for the senior side, making his debut for the club in August 2015 in a 2-1 win over Barnet in the League Cup.

The French youth star made his first league start for Wolves in April 2016 against Hull City, while his last appearance in a gold and black came two seasons ago, when Wolves beat Bristol City 1-0 in the third round of the League Cup to set up a clash with Manchester City.

Meanwhile, fellow Wolves defender Johnson has joined Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock for the 2019/20 season having spent last year with Walsall in League One.

The 21-year-old, who is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Wolves senior team after captaining the under-23s, played 11 times while on loan at the Bescot Stadium in 2018/19, scoring once in three EFL Trophy starts when he netted against Port Vale in November.

Everyone at Wolves would like to wish Sylvain and Connor the very best during their time away from the club.
