Wolves have headed to Spain on the back of a 2-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest but since returning, have won all three games.
Â
Bennett feels that the trip came at the right time and he says that the positive effects have shown in recent performances.
Â
Bennett said, “Obviously the last few results after the Nottingham Forest game, have been really pleasing.Â
Â
“We had the trip away to Spain and we’ve come back from that and won the games that we’ve had. Â
Â
“I think it was an important time to get away - the work we got in out there was really good and I think that’s shown in the recent performances that we’ve had.”
Â
Wolves now turn their attentions to the trip to Deepdale to face seventh-placed Preston North End on Saturday.
Â
Despite recent performances being pleasing to Bennett, he says that Wolves will be aiming to win every game between now and the end of the season.
Â
“We don’t want the gap to get any smaller – we only want it to get bigger,” he said.
Â
“The last few results have been really pleasing.
Â
“We just need to continue that from now until the end of the season.
Â
“We take every game as it comes and want to win it. That’s the aim we’ve got.”
Â
“People don’t see what we do every day, the pressure on training and everything we’re doing.
Â
“You don’t get away with coming in being half-hearted, it doesn’t work like that.
Â
“Every game is massive. We know every win is massive now.
Â
“At the minute Saturday is the most important one. We want the three points.
Â
“I take every game as it comes. We know the position we’re in and where we want to be – it’s as simple as that.
Â
“We know we have to be 100 per cent every game to win it.
Â
“We’ve ground games out this season, we’ve played well more often than not, we know what we have to do and if we’re not there it’s not going to work.
Â
“It’s the same dimension on the pitch, we’ll have our game plan, we’ll put into place what we want to do and if we do that we’ll get the result.”
