Relive the title-winning 2008/09 season with Wolves ReReviewed

Wolves ReReviewed returns for a third edition as the Championship-winning season of 2008/09 is re-watched, relived and re-reviewed on the official Wolves YouTube channel and Facebook page.

After looking back at the 2002/03 and 1997/98 campaigns in the opening two episodes, commentator Mikey Burrows, The Athletic’s Wolves correspondent Tim Spiers and comedian Tom Parry are once again taking a dive into the Wolves season review DVDs from years gone by.

Powered by Energy Angels, the trio will this time re-review a 2008/09 season which was the most successful of the noughties as Wolves confirmed their spot as the best side in the second tier of English football under the tutelage of Mick McCarthy.

After two years of rebuilding under the former Republic of Ireland boss, Wolves unleashed their potential with a stunning season which saw them storm the Championship, as Sylvan Ebanks-Blake’s goals were enough to see him names the top scorer in the division for the second year in a row.

An impressive opening half of the season – 18 wins in 26 matches – had Wolves ruling the roost from early doors, and despite a poor January and February, victory over QPR in April led to pandemonium at Molineux as promotion back to the Premier League after five seasons away was secured.

The first part of Wolves ReReviewed episode two will be shown on the official Wolves YouTube channel and Facebook page at 8pm on Thursday evening, before part two follows at 8pm on Friday.
