Wolves Express | Getting up for the cup

A look ahead to this evening's Carabao Cup fourth round fixture with Everton is the focus of Wednesday's Wolves Express.

After Sunday lunchtime's late win at Bramall Lane thanks to a Raul Jimenez's 90th minute strike, the Old Gold will build up to this weekend's Black Country derby with a cup clash against the Toffees at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Although he admits he'd have preferred a free week to prepare his side for the visit of West Bromwich Albion to Molineux on Sunday, Cesar Peixoto tells the podcast that even though he'll be looking to rotate his team on Wednesday evening, he expects his players to do everything possible to fight for a place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Peixoto also gave an insight into a likely line-up in Merseyside, admitting midfielder Jordan James is in contention for a start, with the head coach hoping to use the game to build up minutes among his squad to get everyone on the same level for competing in a long and hard Championship campaign.

Andre also speaks to the podcast as he reflects on leading the team out as captain for the first time at Bramall Lane, how it felt to be named player of the match and the importance of keeping clean sheets after Wolves achieved their first league shutout of the season on Sunday.

Released regularly during the off-season, Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
