Ahead of the season opener for Wolves against Port Vale on Friday night, Cesar Peixoto and Dan Bentley feature on the latest episode of Wolves Express.
Instead of going straight into their first Championship campaign in nine years from the off, Peixoto's side will kick off their 2026/27 competitive action by hosting Vale in the Carabao Cup first round at Molineux on Friday night, before their league opener at home to Blackburn Rovers the following weekend.
The head coach is first up in the latest episode of the club's official quickfire podcast, as he shares his thoughts on Friday's visitors, the changes he still wants to see made to the squad while the transfer window is open, while offering an insight on who will be wearing the captain's armband this season.
Bentley also speaks exclusively to the podcast as he discusses the importance of getting the season off to a positive start on Friday night, how the players are aiming to build on the positive momentum they've built in pre-season and how he has found being the only available senior goalkeeper this summer, before Jose Sa and Sam Johnstone's return to training.
The podcast also catches up with women's head coach Dan McNamara following his side's pre-season draw with fellow WSL 2 outfit Bristol City. Wolves Women's season doesn't get underway for another month, so are still in the early stages of their preparations, but McNamara was pleased with the performance, especially with the amount of new signings which have been added to the squad during the summer.
Released regularly during the off-season, Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
