Wolves Express | Sharing the spoils on the south coast

After Wolves picked up a point on their travels at Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday night, the latest episode of Wolves Express looks back at the key talking points from the entertaining draw.

Despite neither team being able to find the back of the net at the Amex, Wolves' first Premier League game of 2024 was one full of intrigue as both sides went tooth and nail to try and find the all-important winning strike.

Reflecting on the stalemate, Craig Dawson was left pleased with the defensive side of the team on Monday night, with Wolves being one of few teams in recent years to leave Brighton with a clean sheet, as well as the game providing an example of how far the Old Gold have come under Gary O'Neil since the 4-1 loss to the Seagulls at Molineux earlier in the season.

Although they were unable to find the net, Gary O'Neil was impressed with the way his team stuck to the game plan, frustrated Brighton, but also offered opportunities at the end, which they just weren't able to take, but the head coach is not blaming his attacking force.

Pedro Neto made his first Premier League start in almost three months after recovering from injury, and the winger spoke about how it felt to be back out on the pitch, while O'Neil also explained why the club have not been rushing the Portuguese back.

With the excitement of a Black Country derby coming up on Sunday, Neto and former Wolves and Albion man Andy Thompson also spoke about how important the game is for the Old Gold.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of Wolves Weekly and Matchday Live Extra.
