Wolves Weekly | The inside story of LA Wolves

On a special episode of Wolves Weekly, Mikey Burrows marks the launch of the new documentary from Wolves Studios and MUNDIAL - 1967: When LA Wolves Conquered the USA.

The film illustrates the incredible untold story of Wolves’ involvement in kickstarting the popularity of the sport in the United States, and the club's US correspondent Laurence Scott takes listeners behind the scenes of the documentary.

Scott's interview with Phil Parkes as part of Wolves Radio's WV1 series 18 months ago was what kickstarted the development of the documentary, which recalls the summer of 1967 and LA Wolves’ United Soccer Association league title through never-before-seen footage.

During production of the documentary, Scott also met up with the filmmakers out in Los Angeles and spoke to co-writer and director - MUNDIAL's editorial director - Owen Blackhurst, who explains why the award-winning football magazine got involved with the club in bringing the story to life.

A truly remarkable story in the history of Wolves, 1967: When LA Wolves Conquered the USA transports viewers back to the scene of a historic moment for the Old Gold.

After premiering on TNT Sports ahead of Wolves' Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, the documentary is now available to watch on Wolves TV and the Wolves YouTube channel.

Wolves Weekly is available to listen to on all podcast providers. There is also a host of official and exclusive gold and black content to be found on Wolves Radio, including Matchday Live Extra and Wolves Express.
