Important supporter information | Are you match ready?

Following the Government’s move to Plan B, it is now a legal requirement for supporters who attend Premier League matches to show an NHS Covid Pass or recent negative lateral flow test result before entering the stadium, otherwise they will be denied entry.

The new requirements came into effect from Wednesday 15th December and will be vital in helping to create a safe matchday environment for all supporters to enjoy the action on the pitch.

Therefore, from Wolves’ Premier League fixture against Chelsea on Sunday 19th December, all fans aged 18 or over will be required to pre-register their Covid status HERE ahead of arriving at the stadium.

Please note, supporters who completed the declaration ahead of the Brighton fixture will not need to fill out the online form again before Sunday.

It is now mandatory and a legal requirement for all adult supporters to declare they are symptom free and have certification that demonstrates they are any one of the following:

  • Fully vaccinated (at least TWO doses of Covid vaccine demonstrated in a Covid pass)
  • Able to provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test in the 48 hours preceding the match, either in an NHS Covid pass or other acceptable methods (detailed below)
  • Able to provide valid evidence of a medical exemption (see below for further information)

All supporters aged 18 years or over must have a valid NHS Covid pass or an alternative proof of a negative test result to gain entry into the stadium.

In addition to the requirement for supporters to pre-register, fans must also be prepared to show their NHS Covid pass at designated points ahead of entering Molineux. It is advised that supporters arrive early to allow time for these checks to take place prior to kick-off.

Accepted forms of Covid-19 certification include:

  • Covid pass via the NHS app – download it HERE
  • Covid pass downloaded from the NHS App to an Apple or Google wallet
  • A PDF version of the NHS Covid pass or an official letter which can be requested HERE
  • An EU Digital Covid certificate
  • An NHS Covid pass confirming a negative lateral flow test result in the 48 hours preceding the match
  • An NHS email or text message confirming a negative lateral flow test result in the 48 hours preceding the match

Forms of certification that will NOT be accepted include:

  • Vaccination cards
  • Physical lateral flow testing strips

Supporters are also advised that they are required by law to wear a face covering when indoors and in crowded, enclosed areas within the stadium, unless they have a recognised exemption according to Government guidelines.

Face coverings can be removed to eat or drink, however, it is strongly advised that fans wear a face covering when seated in the stadium bowl.

Together with all Premier League clubs, Wolves have already been conducting Covid-19 certification spot checks for several months to help prepare supporters for future requirements, as well as helping to ensure stadiums can continue to operate at full capacity.

Now the UK Government’s Autumn/Winter Plan B has been introduced, and starting with the Chelsea fixture, supporters must now be ‘match ready’, given the new legal requirements to enter stadiums.

Are you ‘match ready’? If you are attending a Premier League match at Molineux, protect yourself and those around you by following the guidance:

  • All fans must be prepared to show their NHS Covid pass or negative lateral flow test result
  • Complete your Covid self-declaration HERE
  • Stay at home if experiencing Covid-19 symptoms
  • Wear a face covering when indoors, in congested areas and on public transport
  • Follow good public health behaviours – wash hand, take regular Covid tests and wear a face covering
  • Follow the Supporter Code of Conduct, which can be read HERE

Random checks will take place at Molineux and there will be a team of Covid status spot checkers operating at designated points around the stadium who will be identifiable by a purple high-vis tabard and supported by stewards.

Fans MUST be prepared to present their valid Covid status evidence to a team member, prior to entering the stadium and will be denied entry if unable to show their NHS Covid pass or proof of a negative lateral flow test within the previous 48 hours, ideally on matchday.

Wherever possible, we advise supporters to save their Covid pass to their device to ensure they will be able to access it at the stadium without the requirement of phone signal.

Supporters MUST NOT attend a game if they have any Covid-19 symptoms or are required to self-isolate.

EXEMPTIONS

Supporters who are eligible for a medical exemption should now be registered with the NHS to generate a Covid pass.

Those who have not yet applied for a medical exemption are encouraged to do so as soon as possible as the application process can take several weeks.

To apply, complete the online form on the GOV.UK website HERE, call the NHS Covid Pass service on 119, or ask your GP for an application form.

You will need to give your name, date of birth, NHS number and GP details.

AWAY FIXTURES

Supporters will be able confirm that they agree to new measures for each away fixture as part of the ticket purchase process.

VACCINATIONS

Supporters who have not yet had their first or second Covid-19 vaccine, or are now due the booster jab, can get it at a number of locations in Wolverhampton, including the new vaccination clinic in the Mander Centre.
