Academy Player of the Season Dani Angel has been rewarded with a contract extension until June 2026.
The striker has impressed in his opening eight months at Compton Park after being signed from non-league in October last year.
Formerly of Eagles United and Clapton FC in London, Angel came into a professional environment for the first time and hasn’t looked back, hitting double figures in the U18 Premier League and receiving a call-up to the Spain under-18s squad.

Angel became a key member of Richard Walker’s under-18s who achieved a record third-placed U18 PL finish in 2023/24, and the 18-year-old has now put pen-to-paper on an extension with the Old Gold.
Academy manager for football, Jon Hunter-Barrett, said: “We have been pleased with Dani’s progress and contribution to the group since joining. He has been working hard with the 18s staff to improve his overall game.
“He has shown us a consistent work ethic every session and game along with settling in really well with his teammates.
“The next steps for Dani will be to establish himself in the under-21s group and continue his progress internationally with Spain.”
