Date confirmed for FA Youth Cup clash

Wolves under-18s will play their first FA Youth Cup match of the season next month as they take on Norwich City in the third round.

Steve Davis’ young team will take on the side from U18 Premier League South on Friday 18th December at 7pm, at St George's Park - the home of the England national team.

With Wolves a regular participant in the U18 Premier League North and Norwich usually competing in the southern equivalent, the two teams don't usually cross paths, but Davis is expecting the visitors to pose a tough test.

Last season saw the under-18s face two Youth Cup games at Molineux, beating both Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace on their way to the fifth round of the competition, before falling on the road against Chelsea.

Unfortunately, supporters will be unable to attend the match due to the Covid-19 local restrictions, however, there will be live coverage of the match on the official Wolves Academy Twitter page.

Due to this fixture clashing with Wolves under-23’s Premier League 2 match away at the Canaries, which was scheduled to take place at the same time, the development side's fixture will instead kick-off at 1pm on Monday 21st December at the Lotus Training Centre.
