Wolves Women have completed the permanent signing of Republic of Ireland international left-back Tara O’Hanlon from Women’s Super League champions Manchester City.
The 21-year-old attacking full-back has become Dan McNamara’s 11th signing of the summer transfer window as his side prepare for their debut campaign in WSL 2, which kick-off in two weeks’ time.
Hailing from Fingal, O’Hanlon’s career began with Bohemians, but it was with Peamount United – one of the nation’s most successful women’s outfits – that saw her make her senior debut. She played a pivotal part in the side that then went on to lift the League of Ireland title in 2023.
Operating primarily on the left-side, O’Hanlon joined Manchester City in January 2024 on a three-and-a-half-year deal. During the second half of the 2025/26 season, O’Hanlon joined WSL 2 side Sunderland on loan where she made five appearances for the Black Cats.
In January 2026, she moved north of the border as she joined Celtic on loan. She made 12 appearances for the Ghirls, scoring once as the side finished 5th in the SWPL.
Having represented her nation at under-17 and under-19 level, O’Hanlon has received four caps for the senior team, most recently in November against Hungary. She was also a part of their squad earlier this year for World Cup qualifiers against France and the Netherlands.
Tara will wear the number 33 shirt.
