Ellen Jones has become Wolves Women’s ninth signing of the summer ahead of the 2026/27 WSL 2 season.
The 23-year-old winger joins the club following her departure from fellow WSL 2 side Sunderland over the summer.

Having began her career with Bristol City in the WSL, Jones spent a year abroad in US college soccer with Colorado Buffaloes before returning to the UK to sign for Leicester City. She also enjoyed a loan spell with Coventry United.
Jones signed for Sunderland in 2023 and has played over 30 times in the second-tier, scoring five league goals. Jones also scored a hat-trick in the 2024-25 Women’s FA Cup against Exeter City. Last season the forward played eleven times in WSL 2 for the Black Cats who finished eighth in the final standings.
Head of Women and Girls, Russ Fraser said: “Ellen is a versatile forward who is good with both feet and someone who we feel will be a very good fit for our squad ahead of our first WSL 2 season. Her experience in this division and above will be vital to us and we look forward to seeing her in Old Gold for the first time.”
