Three more players have been confirmed in Wolves Women’s squad ahead of this afternoon's season opener.
Layla Banaras, Martha MacPhail and Maddie Elbro have all committed to the Old Gold for the 2024/25 campaign.
Banaras and Elbro return to Wolves, while defender MacPhail joins having departed Aston Villa over the summer.
Following her first stint during the second half of last season, Banaras is back with Dan McNamara’s side, signing on a dual registration with Birmingham’s Professional Game Academy.
Midfielder Banaras impressed during her 10 appearances for Wolves after initially joining in February, while Elbro returns to her childhood club after completing a soccer scholarship in the United States.
Elbro already has 25 appearances to her name, which she accumulated before departing for the States in 2020 after progressing through the Wolves Regional Talent Centre and into the first-team.
The goalkeeper spent four years studying occupational therapy at Mercyhurst University in Erie Pennsylvania before graduating and returning to the UK earlier this summer.
19-year-old MacPhail arrives at Compton having developed in Villa’s youth system and with experience on youth camps for England.
She started her career with Sutton Coldfield Town before spending time with both Aston Villa and Birmingham City. More recently, MacPhail was a WSL Academy League champion with Villa in 2022/23 and, last season, made her first-team bow away to Sunderland in a League Cup tie.
