Speaking on this week’s episode of Wolves Weekly, an International Women’s Day special, after exclusively revealing the news, academy manager for operations Laura Nicholls said: “Playing under the lights at Molineux will be a fantastic opportunity for fans who perhaps haven’t already engaged with us to come along.

“It’s the international break so hopefully we can get fans that have never seen either of the women’s teams of both clubs play.

“It’s also the day the schools break up so hopefully parents with children can come down and support. It should be a fantastic spectacle, occasion and another memory in the bank for everyone.”

Head of women and girls football, Jenna Burke-Martin, added: “It’s fantastic to get Wolves Women back playing at Molineux again this season. Playing at the main stadium is always a highlight in our season.

“It gives the players, staff and fans another opportunity to experience the Premier League facilities that we have here. Showcasing the team in an evening league game against our local rivals is a great opportunity for us and hopefully we will see another record-breaking crowd in attendance.”
