Wolves Women have completed their first signing of the summer with the exciting capture of forward Liv Fergusson.
The 28-year-old arrives at Molineux having spent the 2022/23 season across the border in the Scottish Women’s Premier League with Celtic, where she lifted the Scottish Cup following victory in the final against Rangers at Hampden Park.

Despite missing out on the title on the last day of the season, Fergusson helped secure Champions League football for her team before departing at the end of last month.
The former England under-17 international has Women’s Super League and Championship experience having previously represented Aston Villa, Bristol City, Yeovil Town, Sheffield United, Leicester City and Coventry United.
A lifelong Wolves supporter, Fergusson links up with Dan McNamara’s side who agonisingly missed out on promotion to the Championship in 2021/22, before losing out on the title on goal difference last time around in a season which saw the Old Gold win a second successive Birmingham County Cup and break their attendance records at both Molineux and the New Bucks Head.
As a former season ticket holder, Fergusson admits she can’t wait to pull on the shirt of her childhood club and always believed this opportunity in her career would arise.
“I’m really pleased and happy to be here. I’m looking forward to the season and I’ve got loads of memories here with family watching lots of games.
“It feels really special. Being a Wolves fan, I have always wanted to play for Wolves and now felt like the right time that our paths would cross. I’ve always been aware of what the club are getting up to and I’ve known players playing here as well, so I’ve always kept in touch with what they’re up to.”
Fergusson is hoping her arrival can provide additional quality in the quest to reach the second tier and says she was immediately sold on the project once initial talks were held.
“When I came to look round, I met Macca and was really excited by what they were doing here. I just wanted to part of it.
“The girls have gone really close over the last two years and to get promoted and get Wolves to the Championship would be really exciting – that’s what I want to do here.
“I’m experienced and have played at a good level. I’m an attacker and like to bring some quality on the pitch with goals and assists. I’m quite direct and like to get at players so hopefully I can bring some of that to Wolves.”
