The draw for the first round of the League Cup took place today and paired Dan McNamara’s side alongside their Northern Premier Division rivals, with the cup clash due to take place at Castlecroft on Sunday 7th November.
The cup draw comes just two days after the teams played out an exciting match at Compton Park which saw Wolves fight back from behind and overcome the side currently sat bottom of the league table on Sunday afternoon.
Having taken an early lead through Leo Joyce, Hull struck either side of the break to take the lead, but two goals in two minutes from Helen Dermody and teenager Lauren Riley – her first of the season – earned all three points for McNamara’s Wolves.
After earning promotion to the third tier in the summer, Wolves are currently unbeaten in all competitions this season, beating off the challenge of Leeds United in the previous stage of the FAWNL Cup to reach the first round proper.
