Wolves 3 (Lopez 10, Armstrong 15, Krejci 58) Cardiff City 0
Wolves extended their unbeaten Championship run to four matches as three headed goals secured all three points at Molineux against Cardiff City.
The hosts came out the block firing at Molineux as they looked to make it three wins from their last four, with Jordan James testing Nathan Trott inside the opening minute of the contest, before Rafiki Said’s goalbound effort was blocked away.
Wolves didn’t take long to break the deadlock, with Fer Lopez latching onto a great Hugo Bueno ball into the Cardiff box to head into the bottom corner of the net. The hosts made it two moments later when Said’s cross was met by Adam Armstrong’s head and he made no mistake with a powerful effort.
With five minutes left of the half, Said should have made three for Wolves after Trott inadvertently rolled the ball straight to the forward, but the forward aimed his effort straight back at the keeper from 10 yards out. Cardiff had a late volleyed effort from Ollie Tanner, but he could only fire at Jose Sa.

Cardiff started the brighter of the two teams following the break with Joel Colwill testing Sa from a tight angle straight from the kick-off. Colwill had another chance five minutes later but fired straight at Sa before Lopez dragged his shot wide up the other end.
Just before the hour mark, Wolves’ lead was extended and it was another header which did the damage as Ladislav Krejci rose highest from Kieran Trippier’s corner to find the far corner of the net.
Wolves had chances to add a fourth through substitutes Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Rodrigo Gomes, while Colwill missed from a yard out after Sa turned Yousef Salech’s header onto the post, but the Old Gold were able to see the game out for another home victory.
