Toti | 'We needed these three points at all cost'

With his first Premier League goal of the season helping Wolves to a much-needed victory over Luton Town, Toti was pleased to help his side get back to winning ways.

The centre-back turned a Mario Lemina cross home with a bullet header in the second half to put the game out of reach for the Hatters and end the Old Gold’s winless run which had extended to eight matches.

Despite the short turnaround since Wednesday evening’s defeat at home to AFC Bournemouth, Toti was left delighted with how the team were able to carry out Gary O’Neil’s game plan.

On three points against Luton

“It was very important. It was crucial for us. We needed these three points at all cost and we did what we’ve been preparing.

“We only had a small amount of days to prepare for this match, but what we did today was exactly what the coach asked us to do and thankfully we got the three points.”

On his first goal of the season

“It was special for myself, special for Channy to be scoring again, but I’m just happy to have helped the team with the goal.

“It was more important that we got the three points, so that is what makes me happy.”

On getting back to winning ways

“It’s important to get the most points that we can get until the end of the season. We’ve got three more games to go and we’re going to keep pushing.

“We want more and more, but I’ve been happy with what we’ve been doing in this team this season.”
