Dawson | 'You can see we’re developing as a squad'

Craig Dawson said a second successive clean sheet in the Premier League was down to the whole team, not just the defence and goalkeeper.

The Old Gold became the first side since February to keep Brighton & Hove Albion out on their own patch, after keeping a clean sheet against Everton last time out in the Premier League too. The shut out helped Wolves to a point, which extended the unbeaten run to six matches heading into Sunday’s derby, and Dawson says it shows how far the group have come since losing to the Seagulls on matchday two.

On a big point on the road

“We created some chances, but Brighton are a great side, so to come here and keep a clean sheet, I think the lads did very well.

“We’d prepared well, and you could see the effort from the lads, everyone stuck to the task and it’s a great point and six matches unbeaten.”

On a big clean sheet

“We just celebrate as a team. Everyone put in a good shift, and we had a couple of chances at the other end, which unfortunately didn’t go in.”

On the evolution since losing 4-1

“It shows the hard work from the manager and players. We were new in the process when we played them at home, and you can see we’re developing as a squad and it’s encouraging to be a part of.”

On keeping ticking over

“We just keep working hard, preparing for every game, you can see the team spirit in the group and hopefully that continues. We’ll take every game as it comes.”
