Costa voted Player of the Month

Diego Costa was voted the Castore Player of the Month, capping a successful April in gold and black for club and player.

In a month where the Spaniard celebrated his first Wolves goal, he claimed 33 per cent of the votes, seeing him pip teammates Craig Dawson and Joao Gomes to the award.

Costa started five of the six Premier League matches in April and scored the opener in a big Molineux victory over Brentford.

The 34-year-old also played his part in big wins over Chelsea and Crystal Palace and came off the bench to help Julen Lopetegui’s side earn a point at Nottingham Forest.

After Saturday’s win over Aston Villa, captain Ruben Neves presented Costa with his award, concluding another great afternoon at Molineux for Costa and his team.
