Adama Traore, Marcal, Maximilian Kilman, Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho are all in contention for the honour after impressive starts to the season in old gold.
Although Wolves lost their three Premier League fixtures during August, 57 shots on goal suggests the performances have still been impressive, with the five award nominees catching the eye particularly.
Traore started the season like a house on fire, producing 28 dribbles across the three Premier League games and bringing supporters to the edge of their seat, whether on the left or right wing.
Behind Traore was Marcal, who put a frustrating, injury-plagued season behind him with a fine start to the new campaign, completing ten tackles to earn possession back for his team.
At the back, Kilman has rewarded Bruno Lage for his trust with four solid performances, impressing when playing out from the back, making 150 Premier League passes to set Wolves on the attack.
In front of him, Neves has been showcasing his top distribution once again, producing 36 long-range passes to put his team mates in dangerous positions in the final third.
Next to him, Moutinho started all four August fixtures for Wolves and defied his years with impressive performances, completing as many as nine key passes against Nottingham Forest alone.
Voting is now open and will run until midnight on Monday 13th September.
The winning player will receive a custom-made Castore Player of the Month award for their efforts.
